Well hi Oppo. Been a few months and I am sitting in front of a computer for the first time in a year or so so I wanted to check in and make a substantial post as I have been !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for some time. Sooo here we go!
I have checked in with a few of my current rides !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . They will be remaining current for the foreseeable future. While I am constructing the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! still I am full up on 5 cars. I shouldn’t even have that many but the Citicar and the Peugeot were both free, couldn’t say no. Construction on the place continues. If you click my link about the house you can see what we started with a year and some odd months ago, and the cleaning phase is getting there. Ill C+P some here for reference too. Work and our place is still busy and keeps me away from a computer but the holiday season (and freezing temps in Maine!) is giving me a little time off. Okay, onto the house project!
when we got it (above)
So there is some of our progress on the yard. I was able to get the Citicar and the 505 inside for the winter (unto my future kitchen and living room :) ) and got some heat and insulation up, just so I can do the structural, electrical and plumbing during the winter. The Range Rover will take over daily driver duties again till the spring. Have a parts car and chassis for it so I can keep costs down there
So there it is Oppo. What 505 has been up to in a nutshell. Oh and the kiddos are doing great, turning into regular kid jaloppos as expected
Ill be back for more next time I am in front of a computer...or randomly on mobile! Peace Oppo, miss you all!

The place is coming together nicely, though I have no idea how you have time for kids, house, and project cars; I can barely handle one at a time

I would love to go a year without sitting behind a computer.
Looks like a cool house project! My kids are growing fast, too. That’s what they say right?

Glad to see things are going well. The irony of owning a Citicar in the middle of the Maine wilderness is not lost on me :)

ha yeah, well it is only 4 miles to town from there, or 8 the next town over, and on an island so it makes a slight bit of sense to me.

it better be! That is what we pride ourselves on. I did have a heavy lobster eating weekend a few weeks ago and ended up with a bucket of lobster, crab, and whelks to take home from pulling my girls dads traps in. Was sick of straight up with butter and made myself some fried rice out of it!! Was SOOOOO good

It’s on the to-do list, for sure. My sister spent a little time in Maine (and Vermont) over the summer and fell in love with the place, she kept sending me pictures of old cars sitting around freaking everywhere, and I told her I know a dude who probably keeps tabs on every single one of them.

there never usually is for me either, this was just the annual - lets pull the traps and you get to eat or take with whatever is in there - thing. I ate 4 straight up with butter one day and couldn’t do it again. worked perfect

*regrets not buying the horrible rusty running Goliath that was listed nearby a couple of years ago for cheap
*wants Borgward

I’ll put it this way - if “moronic rusty craigslist projects” were chargeable to credit card I might be making more spectacular use of my current WTFHAX limit.

That would be a real problem. Space is another, I already need a lot/barn of my own. I can only play the shell game so much.

I’m bankrolling a large part of the shop extension and bankrolled a car tent and gravel for a place to put it, so I have some leeway to flaunt my deviance - but just to a point, and the rest of the family’s slightly dingy projects outnumber my own.
I still want a garbage bathtub Packard and ‘58 extended deck Cad, of course.
AMGtech - now with more recalls!

yeah Goliath was free also so no money changes hands. I just need to grab it.
However I did want to thank you, when I was asking a few years back if a RRC would be good. I think you said the older ones were good (something also about the frame and bulkheads to check also), and mine has been absolutely flawless to me. It is an 87 US model, so pretty basic. 3.5 13CU. Put 1000 miles a week on it sometimes. Sucks gas but who cares, likes to be driven. Got to keep the rust off it

Glad to hear from you. The fleet is looking good.
I was doing some cleanup the other week and came across that vintage Christmas card I got from you. Thanks again.
Have a Merry Christmas if we don’t see you around before then.
